Rig control latency
« on: 2025-11-28, 22:16:53 »
I have been plagued by large (10 second) latencies when changing frequencies (via VFO) on my K3 and having the result display on Ham Radio Deluxe (HRD). I am certain it is not an internet latency issue.

I am using a K3 and K3/0 with the RemoteRig boxes. The changes displayed on the radio are accurately communicated … it just takes a long time to show up on HRD. All the various baud rates, etc are the same (38k). The process outlined in the RemoteRig manual for Comm port setup has been verified and correct.

This issue could be anywhere in the chain, of which RemoteRig and HRD are simply components. I’m grasping at straws, hoping someone has an idea or theory I can investigate to understand what’s happening.

Dennis, don't know if you're still having the problem, but if you are using virtual comports you can try deleting them and making new virtual comports.  If you are using Com0Com to do so, try using VSP Manager or another virtual comport creator.  Good luck!  Dennis W1UE
