Good afternoon - for about two weeks I have experienced strange happenings. My setup is - Icom IC-7100, RRC 1258 MKII and I have had excellent performance since 2016. I have replaced RRC once I think in 2019. Here's what's happening daily. At times - the display on radio fades or disappears completely, display and all actions freeze, only remedy is turn radio off and re-start, when radio is on there is a constant "skipping" in normal HF noise, and worst of all when in CW mode radio transmits uncontrollably with random breaks. My internet is good. I have also taken radio control to my shack and connected directly to radio on two separate occasions for at least one hour each and everything works perfectly. Am wondering if you have had any other experiences similar to this.
Thanks for any help. I have had great luck with the RRC and I think it is still the best overall method of remoting.
