Mitch

Thanks but that didn't help.  Another weird fact. I have a second RRC Control box and a recently acquired K3/Mini. I just set that up last night and winkey works fine with the same radio and radio RRC box.

I've save the settings for all three boxes as html files and will drop an email to Mike.

regards,
Pete

Hi Mitch,

Sorry to bother, having a problem getting the winkey function to operate properly.
The keying from Wintest is garbled while the paddle is perfect ?

I'm set up for Com3 (extra) Mode 8,  and in Wintest I have configured for winkey @ 1200baud - handshake/handshake.

Any suggestions, please?

Mitch,
Thanks, all good now !!

"- the  serial setting for COM1 "Use USB Com Port as COM1" must be set to NO"

That was my nemesis!

Okay, winkey functionality work great from Wintest,  but I can't seem to get wintest to track or command the band, mode or frequency?

It seems from page 217 of the Microbit manual it should be possible?

I have the following Serial settings:   COM1 = Mode 7, 9600,8,1 (tried other)
COM2 = Logical parallel to COM0 and
COM3 = Mode 8 (winkeyer)

In WinTest COM 3 is configured for winkey ,  COM7 is set to Radio 1 (K3) at 9600,8.1

What am I missing?

Mitch,

Thank you (again)  .. I'll have to wait a week or so to try as the "Control" K3 went to Aruba for the weekend :)

Is there anything new here?  I have a K3 Twin setup with the intention to use WinTest via Com 1, is there a way I can incorporate WinKeyer inorder to use the Function keys in WinTest?

Mitch,

Thank you - I now have WinTest working between control RRC and remote RRC boxes (Com1/Mode7).

For using wintest stored CW messages it looks like WinKeyer is a good choice.

Finally, the last piece before going beyond my LAN is the rotator.  I'm confused about whether Rotator control (RT21) can be done thru these same 1258's concurrently with WinTest, or do I need to create another path.  Is USB and COM1 mutually exclusive?  I've searched here and on the Elecraft reflection but haven't found a clear answer to my situation.

Again many thanks & 73

Not sure how to configure the RRC 1258's to utilize WinTest. Just setting up a pair of 1258's between two K3's. The remote site will be here at KU2C and the control site will be at W2GD's condo.

We would prefer the PC running WinTest would be at the control site (W2GD). Has anyone already solved this?

Thanks for any advice!
