General discussion forum / Microbit Setup App
« on: 2017-02-21, 20:10:39 »
I am trying the Microbit Setup App v1.0.1 for iPhone.

It works relatively OK on my old iPhone4.

However, on the iPhoneSE it has a problem with the display size.
The result from a search is hidden behind the text on the top on the screen. If the screen is being moved a bit down by using the finger, one can see the result. When the finger is being removed, the screen moves again up, and the text again disappears.

This seems to be a problem with the automatic adjustment to screen size.

Ah! I think I got it now!
The AG command is probably being used for controlling volume.
Makes sense.

This probably also explains the 'odd' reaction to the AF control on the K3.

Thanks, Mitch.

Hi Mitch,

a bit confusing this. Probably due to my ignorance in this area.

My idea was that it would be best with a line-output from the K3, giving  a defined and constant audio level all the way to the input of the K3/0. The AF setting on the K3/0 would then adjust the gain of a local amplifier in the K3/0 itself.

How would he K3/0 eventually directly control the output level from the K3?

Using the standard cables, the K3 audio is being transferred to the RRC-Radio from the K3 SPKRS connector.
I wonder why the LINE-OUT is not used instead?

The K3 AF adjustment will change the level being sent to the RRC.
There is apparently no mention about the AF setting on the K3.

Am I missing something?

Hello,

I  need info on how to use a K3 + 1K-FA remotely through Remoterig and K3/0-mini.
I did not find any relevant info on this in the K3-Remote manual etc.

Today the K3-ACC is occupied with the 1K-FA CAT cable.

I am using ICE.NET to connect my RRC-Radio to Internet.
I just had to ask ICE for an address in the public range.
No cost involved, and fixed withon 30 mins.
Works very well.

I tried Version 1.30 and it worked just fine. :-)
I also noticed that some other errors were corrected.
Thanks.

Keep up the good work.

Version is 1.28.

It shows up in the Human Interface Devices section.
But also in the Ports section with status stating driver not installed.

When I try to do an automatic driver update, I get this error:
"A service installation section in this INF in invalid"

Please refer to attached screen shots.

I tried it on a Windows 10 machine with no problems.

Hello,

I am not able to get the USB connection to my 1216H working.
It seems that there is a USB driver problem.
The Setup Manager does not see the switch.

I am running Windows XP Pro SP3 fully updated.

I can not find the explanation for the "pulse settings" referred to in 'Set Relays' menu.
Please refer to the screen shot.

Could the cuse of these problems be reduced availability of the Remoterig DynDNS service?

I assume this is only beng used during initial setup of the connection. After that, it will work fine as long as a reset is not performed.

Anyone else experienced something similar?

UPDATE #2:

After several tries with full power off/on of  everything, it is now up and running again.

Odd!

UPDATE:

Tried it again, but this time I've not been able to get it up and running again.

I can connect to both the Control-RRC and the Radio-RRC and look at status etc. All looks normal, except that the SIP status on the Control-RRC is "Unknown (1)". After resetting the Control-RRC, SIP status is again "Idle". But as soon as Ipress power-on on the IC-7100 panel, SIP status goes to "Unknown (1)" again.

Hello list,

I have had my setup working nicely for a couple of days now. It is a standard configuration with IC-7100 radio on one RRC and the control unit on another RRC. The Radio-RRC is connnected to the router with Ethernet cable. The Control-RRC is connected to a 4G GSM mobile router (ice.net Smartrouter). I am using DynDNS and DHCP as described, and the router is setup with port-forwarding. So, the connection will be really remote, and not on the same local segment.

All works very well. However if I turn off power on the Control-RRC without first powering off the IC-7100 via the control panel, then things go wrong. Afer powering-up the Control-RRC again, nothing seems to works. It seems that the only solution is to reset the IC-7100 radio unit by powering it off and on.

Any clues anyone?
