Configuration, RRC 1258 / received CW very choppy

I got the control remote to power up the remote.

Now when I listening to CW it is so choppy it is hard to copy calls. I'm sure there are some settings but which one(s).

Configuration of Routers, Firewalls, etc / K3 remote won't power up

I'm just getting started with K3 to K3. When I turn on the control rig the remote doesn't power up. Should it? If the remote rig is powered up I can shut it down by powering down the control rig. If it can be powered up from the control rig where should I look to enable this function.
