Configuration, RRC 1258 / Control Unit Off--IC-706 set up
« on: 2013-04-20, 23:22:16 »
I can't get my twin RRCs to function. Everything seems normal, both units start up properly and show solid green on both power and ethernet (both are now on the same network for this troubleshooting). When I press the power button on the IC head unit, the orange light comes on on the Control unit Aux/Mic socket, the alarm tone is on the speaker and nothing else happens. The status page on the control web interface shows the control panel as "Off". Any ideas???

Configuration, RRC 1258 / Need Help with control unit
« on: 2013-02-02, 20:36:22 »
My RRCs work fine with both halves of my IC-706 as long as both are hard wired to my router via ethernet cables. When I try to connect my control unit to the network wirelessly, using my MAC as a bridge through "Internet Sharing", the MAC doesn't recognize the unit (I've tried both a direct ethernet cable from the RRC to the MAC ethernet connection and connections through USB and Thunderbolt with adaptors). When I try to enter the IP address of the RRC control manually, I get a message that the address is in use by another device.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!!!

I also posted this as a reply in the "routers, etc." section

I have a similar problem and would like the checklist as well. My RRCs work fine with both halves of my IC-706 as long as both are hard wired to my router via ethernet cables.
