The RemoteRig manual for the Yaesu Twin configuration states (page 145) that the tested configuration with these two radios is with the FT-950 at the Control site and FTdx5000MP at the Remote site. I have a FTdx5000MP that I would like to use at home to control a FT-950 placed at the Remote site.
Does anybody have any experience with this particular configuration and have information they can share ? I have found that band-switching, transmission mode, output power control, audio volume, filter bandwidth, power on/off and other basic functionality works well with the FTdx5000MP as the Control. However, when trying to send CW using the internal keyer of the Control-RRC, only the dots are transmitted by the FT-950 at the Remote site. The dashes are not transmitted. All the cables delivered by Microbit in the Yaesu Twin package are used as recommended in the manual.
