Nano + 480 (Radio on / off)
« on: 2019-07-17, 08:33:06 »
Hi to all !

I'm a happy RemoteRig user, now I'm testing the Android APP and all is working perfect !!!  :)

My only doubt is if the radio turns off when I hit the dissconnect button on the app, I know that the app turns the radio on, but not sure with what happens when I dissconnect....

My remote station is 200 miles away... no way to check (or I don't know how) !

Thanks in advance !

The radio always turns off when the SIP connection is cut. This occurs even if you lose
your internet connection, power or similar.

Hello,

We have a TS480SAT remote setup that has the units 700 miles apart at times.  For extra protection you can set MENU #22 Time Out Timer on the 480 to “3”, “5”, “10”, “20”, or “30” minutes.  This should shut down the station from transmitting if something gets locked up.

We have had the RRC devices working now for years and never had a problem so far.
