RRC1258 with bug vs. paddle
« on: 2021-12-20, 19:07:56 »
What are the settings to use a bug instead of a paddle via the RRC1258?  I could not seem to find a definitive statement in the user manual.

If you with "bug" mean an external keyer, it's the same as a straight key from the RRC point of view. You connect it to the IO-jack (RJ45) in0 and set Control-RRC IO In0 = keyer. The Keyer settings should be the same as when you use a paddle connected direct to the Control-RRC

Thanks, Mike. Follow-up question:  If I have set N1MM with RRC COMExtra to COM3 for Winkey, do I need to set COM2 Mode to Mode 8?  I tried to make that change several times, but after reset I still had COM2 Mode as “Logical parallel with COM0”.  I can’t tell if I am using the Winkey emulator or not.
