Is it possible to make a Yaesu Twin configuration with a pair of standard RRCs?

I would like to help a friend who has a pair of RRC with a Kenwood TS-480 and he wants to move to a Twin system with a pair of FT-2000.

Does he have to change his RRcs?

Feature Requests / 9 volts supply on AUX/MIC for Microphones on Mode 4

Yesterday I've realized that there is 9v on AUX/MIC RJ-45 connector in my Control RRC working in Mode 8 (with RC2000 for Kenwood TS2000) and my MC-80 microphone works, but when I change to another profile in Mode 4, I don't have 9v and my MC-80 doesn't work....

Is it possible to add a checkbox (or similar) on RRC web page to enable/disable that power supply for microphones, in Mode 4?

Configuration, RRC 1258 / COM1 (Rotator) and COM2 (CAT) over Control RRC mini USB

Hi there:

Is is possible to control Rotator (COM1) and CAT (COM2) using the same cable conected to the Control RRC mini usb at the same time?

I hardly remember that was possible, but I'm trying to do it (for my friend @ea5zj) and doesn't work.

System is working with two separated cables on control RRC:

• Mini USB for COM2 (CAT)
• USB FTDI converter for COM1 (Rotator)

But would be easier and cleaner with only one usb conection for everything....

Is it possible?

Configuration, RRC 1258 / Prosistel PST641 D mini usb port doesn't work

I'm trying to help a friend with a new remoterig installation. Everything is fine, except rotator control.

Prosistel PST641D comes with a mini USB conection por control. Connected with a serial-usb converter to COM-1 on remote side doesn't work.

COM1 on both sides are configured as Mode 3.

Is there anyobdy here using that rotator with remoterig?

We need some help

Is there a possibility to control any transceiver(like yaesu ft2000) with a control head like the tm-d700? I think it could be necessary a kind of translator between the control head and the RRC at control side, but I'm not sure if it could be possible. Any ideas?

Hi there:
Only for information (mainly for spanish hams)
Now, finally, my system is working fine.

At Control Side: ADSL 10MB Yacom

At Remote Side: Modem 3g ZTE + Router TP-Link with pre-paid SIM card (eroski movil). Doesn't work with Orange or other virtual operators like Simyo or Masmovil, because they only give you a private IP, not accesible from outside your LAN.

Configuration, RRC 1258 / IC-706 easy tutorial to connect CAT

Hi everywhere:

I'm planning to use the CAT through my remote system, but I have some doubts...

At Control side: I think I must conect PC to the USB conector and Change "Use USB Com port as COM1" to YES. Is not possible to use the COM2? What Mode should I select?

At Radio Side: I want to connect COM2 to the CAT interface in my Icom. Is it possible?

Please, I need a very simple tutorial for my radio, because all the related topics I see are about the K3 configuration.

Configuration, RRC 1258 / Dynamic DNS Status: Error Code 9

Hi everyone:

My system is working with ic-706, but only setting the remote side IP external address in the SIP contact Box. It doesn't work neither with dyndns or ddns.remoterig.

I can see in the radio RRC:

Dynamic DNS Status: Error Code 9

DNS status:   OK, remoterig.com = 193.202.110.185

The Control RRC is always:

DNS status   Error, failed to resolve remoterig.com!

Using the dyndns address I can go into the Radio RRC configuration page, but I can't conect both RRC's.

Any ideas?

Configuration of Routers, Firewalls, etc / Connecting the Control-RRC to ethernet port at the PC

Hi there:

This is my first topic. I'm just starting to test the system at home, before leave it on the remote site.

I'm trying to simulate the connection using two adsl:

The System now look like this:

adsl1 - PC - Control RRC (conected to the PC ethernet port). I don't have physical access to the router.

adsl2 - Radio RRC (connected to the router).

I have 2 problems:

How can the RRC get an IP connected to the PC?

Another problem is related with ddns.remoterig. Although I changed the ddns server in the configuration, I'm still having access trough dyndns.com instead of ddns.remoterig

Is this ddns server working?
