Hello,

here the same since the remoterig server problem.
The radio is coming up with every Connection, but the same message ->  APP TRIAL PERIOD HAS EXPIRED and
some buttons (Auto, Ant, PTT, VFO knob, Volume) and the frequency display are grey (disabled?)
After a while these buttons are obtain the normal colour and they are working.
Sometime not and it needs a reconnect.
Independently of this, the Band, LSB, A/B, A=B, Bandwith and Split buttons are always working.

I am VERY disappointed with your license model.  I did not know that EVERY time I use the app, I MUST ALSO be connected to the Internet so the license can be validated?  I think that is a very poor model.  I understand that you want to ensure that nobody uses your product with you receiving payment, but I have MANY apps that work when their website has problems.

I would like to see you change the program so that it DOES NOT need to depend upon the website being up!

I'm also concerned that I've purchased a product that will no longer work if you decide to stop your website or change businesses.  I've spent $50 US to purchase the app; which is VERY expensive compared to the RemoteHams $10 app that works ALL the TIME!

Sincerely,
A VERY disappointed user.

Hi I agree with KB0I, as long as it was under trial period the App should contact the server but after it has received the message that it was payed it should not connect to the server anymore. I was as surprised as you that it was not working that way. We will fix the bug and release a new version as soon as possible.

That sounds like a perfectly reasonable solution.

Thanks for the update.

Has anyone checked if the app connects and works ok despite giving the incorrect error message? Because it seems it connects and works ok when I try it(ICOM/Kenwood/Elecraft)

Always include type of hard/software and version when asking for support.

Just checked again.  VFO doesn't work and frequency is grayed out. Transmit button doesn't work either.  Thanks, Rick

I have checked that with my primary device (Galaxy Note 3 and Kenwood TS 2000)
but since yesterday evening no connect is possibe.

With my second device - never checked before -(Galaxy S2 and Kenwood TS 2000)
the radio is coming up with every Connection, but the same message ->  APP TRIAL PERIOD HAS EXPIRED
-> Auto, VFO and Volume Button are not usable. Sound is ok.
After a while (1-2 minutes) I can use all Buttons.
